University Entrance Exams in 2024 (Admission Campaign 2024)
For security reasons, the NMT was held in one day for a test-taker. Each section took 60 minutes. The participants took subjects in the following order: Ukrainian language, Mathematics, History of Ukraine and the subject of their choice. There was a 20-minute break between the 2nd and 3rd sections.
In 2024, applicants for Bachelor's Degree programme (Master's Degree programme in medicine) had to pass the National Multi-subject Test (NMT). The computer-based NMT is the best option for conducting entrance exams during the wartime.
This year's NMT included four sections of test items, three of them were compulsory, and the fourth was optional. The compulsory subjects were Ukrainian language, Mathematics, History of Ukraine, and the optional subjects were Ukrainian literature, foreign language (English, German, French or Spanish), Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Geography. Applicants indicated the subject of their choice during the registration.
After completing all of the NMT tasks, each test-taker received information about the number of test points for each section. For the competitive selection the results of each section were converted to 100-200 score scale. The Ministry of Education and Science approved the conversion tables in advance. Thus, immediately after completing the test, the participant got not only the number of test points, but also found out the results for admission. For all specialties, coefficients for the results of each section of the NMT were established. Information on the values of these coefficients was presented in the Procedure for Admission to Higher Education in 2024.
The registration for the main session of the NMT lasted from March 14 to April 11, 2024 via a special service on the website of the Ukrainian Center. Applicants also could find the description of all stages of registration there.
By April 15, 2024, the registered participants were able to make changes in their personal account.
Currently, two NMT sessions were held: main and additional. The main session was held from May 14 to June 25, and the additional session – from July 11 to July 19. Those applicants who, for valid reasons, didn't pass the test during the main session were able to take the test during the additional session.
Within the additional period (May 10-15, 2024), applicants who, for valid reasons, could not register for the NMT during the main registration period or whose registration was denied, were able to register.

As in previous years, the NMT took place in specially equipped computer classrooms of educational institutions – Temporary Examination Centers (TECs) – arranged both in Ukraine and abroad. The enemy keeps attacking our cities, so, like it was during the last session, testing was suspended in case of air alerts and was continued only after the test-takers and TEC staff returned from shelters.
Thanks to the support of our foreign partners, this year temporary exam centers for the Ukrainian test-takers forced to stay abroad due to the war were organized in 57 cities in 32 countries.
Information about the results of the main NMT session on a 100-200 score scale was placed on the personal pages of test-takers on July 2, 2024, of the additional session – on July 26, 2024.
