Bachelor’s Degree Exams in 2022 (National Multi-subject Test)
NMT is a computer-based form of Bachelor’s Degree programme entrance examination provided for assessment of applicants’ learning outcomes in the Ukrainian Language, Mathematics and the History of Ukraine.
Under the Law of Ukraine, traditional entrance examinations to higher education institutions were canceled in 2022 due to the hostilities caused by russia’s large-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine, which began on 24 February, 2022. Instead of the External Independent Evaluation, the National Multi-subject Test (NMT) was prepared and successfully delivered within an extremely short period of time.
Test-takers could use their NMT scores for admission to Bachelor’s Degree programmes (for future medical doctors – Master’s Degree programmes) based on complete general secondary education for all programmes (government-paid) as well as for programmes in Business and Medicine (in particular, student-paid).
NMT was held in specially designated temporary examination centers throughout Ukraine (where it appeared to be possible, in coordination with the local authorities) and in 32 more countries of the world.
Testing was held in three sessions:
- main session;
- additional session;
- special session.
To conduct NMT, new software had been developed.
NMT 2022 consisted of three sub-tests: “the Ukrainian Language”, “Mathematics”, and “the History of Ukraine”.
The duration of the test was 120 minutes. The test-takers could start with any of the sub-tests.
When the testing time ran out, test-takers received information about their test scores.
The test results were scaled. The 100–200 scale was used.
The detailed information about the components of NMT and other features of the test is presented in the "Entrance Tests in 2022" section of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment’s website. See further details here.
